Temple Terrace Community Church

We don't change God's message -- His message changes us!

Welcome to the Temple Terrace
Community Church Website!

   Pastor Fielland

Thank you for visiting our website!  We are a growing community-based interdenominational church, located on beautiful grounds next to the golf course in Temple Terrace, Florida.  We have a small, but inviting, congregation -- very diverse in ages, cultures, and religious experiences.  Our church members are very active in the community.

Come celebrate with us on our 70th Anniversary - Oct. 23, 2011.

          Pastor Ted Fielland

We celebrate Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and look to the Bible, Church traditions, personal spiritual experience, and reason as guides to our lives.  We welcome people of all faiths and cultural experiences to join us in Ecumenical Unity and Peace.  We hope that you enjoy visiting our site and that you will plan a visit to us in person soon.  Church services are every Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

A bit of history:  The Temple Terrace Community Church was founded in 1941 to provide Sunday School classes for the city's children, instead of driving 'all the way' (on dirt roads) to Tampa.  The church was intended to serve the whole community, regardless of previous church affiliations (denominations), and continues in that tradition.

Today, our doors are still open for the whole commmunity, and the church still serves Temple Terrace as a Sacred Space for weddings, baptisms and funerals ('official' membership is not required to use our facilities).

The first sunrise service of Temple Terrace Community Church was held on the No. 9 green of the golf course in 1942!

Our church is a member of the International Council of Community Churches.

Please note: The Google map will show you the correct location for our church office, social hall, classrooms, and the Historical Chapel (all at 210 Inverness Ave.) The main Sanctuary for our Sunday worship services is one block (30 short yards) north of the office. (Unfortunately, Google has labeled our Sanctuary as the Golf and Country Club.)

Above you see the sanctuary, designed by architect Frank Valenti.  Built in 1964, it has particularly beautiful stained glass windows and hosts many weddings.  If you are interested in getting married in the church, please select "Weddings."
