Welcome to Temple Terrace Community Church

Worship Service

Sunday morning from 11:00 a.m. to noon in the sanctuary at 212 Inverness Avenue

Note:  During the summer, we often worship in the Historic Chapel–at 210 Inverness Avenue on the corner of Inverness and Woodmont.

Holy Communion

We welcome all worshippers as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month.

Special Worship Services

St. Valentine’s Sunday, Ash Wednesday, Lenten services, Easter, Advent Sundays, Christmas Eve and Member Recognition Sunday (twice a year). Other special days of the Church Year (e.g. Pentecost) and the “cultural and national” calendars (e.g. Mother’s Day and Independence Day) are also recognized for their significance in our lives.

Church Council Members

Debbie Anders is Secretary/Treasurer and Janet Moyer is Accounting Consultant. Other 2018 members are Carolyn Arey, Julie Borntrager, Landee Fielland, Melissa Hall, Matthew McIntosh, Linda Rhodes, Barbara Richards, Jared Thompson and Phyllis Warrick.

Bible Study

Adult Bible Study is now being held in the Church Social Hall, Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.  Come join us for fellowship, learning and light refreshments.

Children’s Church

Children attend at the beginning of the Sunday worship service.  Then they are invited to the altar for a special message from the pastor.  Once the message concludes, Marsha Fielland takes them to the social hall for Children’s Church; and then they return at the conclusion of the service.

For Children and Youth

Our church continues to host scouting programs, including Brownies and Girl Scouts.

The Delbert Miller Nursery is available for parents with infants or young children.  This room is located at the back of the main sanctuary and provides a secluded space with full view and sound of the worship service.

Our Women’s group, Women of Wonder or “WOW,” meets several times a year and plans programs that benefit the entire congregation.  Among the activities sponsored by WOW are potluck lunches and dinners, rummage sales, refurbishing crews, church clean-ups and yard clean-ups.

Our choir is directed by Suzanne Reid.  Practices are on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. and Sundays at 10:15 a.m. in the sanctuary.  New members are always welcome.

We currently provide “We Care” bags for the homeless which can be picked up in the narthex of our church to be distributed to the needy.  We also collect non-perishable food items for the local food pantry.  Donations may be left in the narthex or the church office.  During Christmas, we volunteer at Metropolitan Ministries and collect “shoeboxes” for Samaritan’s Purse.
