Newest State Guidelines Allow Our Church to Meet

Now that meeting at church is permitted, we have come up with a new plan for our upcoming services.  From now until further notice, we will meet on Sunday mornings by reservation.  That way we can limit attendance to ten people and practice social distancing by blocking off every other pew.  Reservations can be made by calling Pastor Ted at (813) 787-8172.  He will conduct a shortened service including music, prayer and a spiritual message at 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30.  Other times may be added if needed.  Parishioners may choose to wear face masks and/or gloves and are encouraged to remain a minimum of six feet from others.  If we follow these safety measures, we pray that we will reduce the risk of community spread significantly and still be able to meet together to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Since it is important to be flexible at this time, we appreciate your understanding, and we will try to keep this line of communication open.  Stay safe and keep praying for God’s guidance and help in defeating this enemy!

Church Patio Project

Our focus this year is to raise funds to repair and rebuild the patio area on the north side of the Sanctuary.  We plan to replace the tree damaged wall and railing, the concrete walk area and the benches.  We  want to turn it into a beautiful, memory garden for all to enjoy.  There is a display in the Narthex showing our intentions and expectations of cost.  Please, make donations to help with the completion of this project.

Spring Bake Sale–Postponed for Now

The Women’s Group is planning a Spring Bake Sale on Saturday, April 11, in the Parish Hall from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.  It will be open to the entire community, so tell your friends!  This will be the perfect time to purchase wonderful baked-goods for your Easter celebration.  All funds will go toward the Church Patio Project!

New Members Always Welcome

We invite people to join us by Profession of Faith, Baptism or transfer from another church.  We are a member of the International Council of Community Churches and welcome people of all faiths and cultural experiences.  If you are looking for a  new church home, we will gladly welcome you to our family of faith here at Temple Terrace Community Church.

Ongoing–Postponed for Now

Bring in non-perishable items for the Temple Terrace Food Pantry.  Peanut butter and cereals especially needed.  Place in baskets in the narthex.

Bring in items for the We Care Bags.  We especially need peanut butter and/or cheese crackers, fruit cups, Vienna sausage, fruit snacks, bottled water, beef jerky, breakfast and/or granola bars, juice boxes, toothbrushes and mini toothpaste, small hand sanitizers, washcloths, and small insect repellents.  These items are put in plastic bags with Bible verses and prayers for giving to the homeless on our community street corners.  This is an on-going service project of our Women’s Group.  Please help us continue this ministry.
