Florida Phase One Guidelines Change Our Worship Service
Now that meeting at church is permitted, we are returning to one service at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday. We will follow safety guidelines of 25% occupancy levels. Since our Sanctuary seats 350 people, that means we can accommodate 87 people and still maintain proper “Social Distancing.” Most families will have their own pew and every other pew will be closed allowing ample space for safety.
Since it is important to be flexible at this time, we appreciate your understanding, and we will try to keep this line of communication open. Stay safe and keep praying for God’s guidance and protection during this difficult time.
Church Patio Project
We are thrilled to announce that Phase 1 is officially complete. We would like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported this project and encourage you to come by and take a look at the progress. Our concrete has been removed, and shells have been added to create pathways. We are now “falling” into Phase 2! We will be adding all of the new landscaping to our patio area and a Memory Garden.
We are still in need of your gifts as we prepare for this final phase. The Memory Garden will honor loved ones in our lives Please, stay tuned, for more information on the purchasing plaques and benches that will be offered. Thank you all for your continued support and love for our sacred grounds. For more information, please contact Ted Fielland, 813-787-8172; Melissa Hall, 813-330-6766 or Debbie Anders, 813-503-8981
Operation Christmas Child
It’s that time of year again! Our shoebox collection project for Samaritan’s Purse began on October 25. We will have a church packing party with food and fellowship on November 13, and consecration of all the boxes on Sunday during worship on November 15. Visit http://samaritanspurse.org to get more information.
New Members Always Welcome
We invite people to join us by Profession of Faith, Baptism or transfer from another church. We are a member of the International Council of Community Churches and welcome people of all faiths and cultural experiences. If you are looking for a new church home, we will gladly welcome you to our family of faith here at Temple Terrace Community Church.
Bring in non-perishable items for the Temple Terrace Food Pantry. Peanut butter and cereals especially needed. Place in baskets in the narthex.
Bring in items for the We Care Bags. We especially need peanut butter and/or cheese crackers, fruit cups, Vienna sausage, fruit snacks, bottled water, beef jerky, breakfast and/or granola bars, juice boxes, toothbrushes and mini toothpaste, small hand sanitizers, washcloths, and small insect repellents. These items are put in plastic bags with Bible verses and prayers for giving to the homeless on our community street corners. This is an on-going service project of our Women’s Group. Please help us continue this ministry.
